I've been accused of unfairness when I occasionally bolt out of a film I can't stand. Actually the accusations come when I write in the column "I've just walked out on a film I couldn't stand." I've been scratched, kicked, gouged and spat upon for doing this, but every so often a film is unendurable and that's just a plain damn fact.
